SCOOP – Rapper and La Meme Gang member RJZ says he’s taking a break from active music to focus on other things. The ‘Bye Bye’ hit maker disclosed this to Colossium Magazine. RJZ came into the limelight with his music group La Meme Gang in 2017 releasing several hit songs including Godzilla and Lemuella. The group also comprise of popular artiste Darkovibes who in his solo career has released multiple songs as well. La Meme Gang is currently the most formidable music group in Ghana with an appeal that resonates with the younger generation. The popularity of the group extends beyond the shores of Ghana although the group is still young ‘career-wise’. La Meme Gang made a musical entrance with a sound that is unique to the group bringing into the music scene a fresh sound that is modern.

Responding to a question of why he has decided to take a break from mainstream music, the artiste explained that it has always been his passion to be a footballer and is looking forward to exploring that part of his life, “It has always been my passion to play football; so who knows, this break can offer me the opportunity to explore that”. RJZ, who was a visual arts student in Mfantsipim expressed his appreciation to his alma mater for the role the school played in his upbringing. He noted that some of the qualities he poses now are those he acquired during his time at the school. The B.A Communication Design degree holder said he’s multi-talented thus he’s looking forward to sharing all aspects of his creativity with his fans and the rest of the world.

It is unclear why the rapper has decided to take a break when he’s about to hit the prime of his musical career however we wish him success in all his endeavors.
